An advanced skill-upgrading course in MatrixGold 4.0 designed for CAD/Rhino users. Master full Parametric History Tree workflows to instantly adjust finger sizes, gem dimensions, and design parameters in real-time without remodeling from scratch.

Key Learning Highlights:

  • Dynamic Builders: Rapidly and precisely build shanks, heads, prongs, and gem layouts using parametric tools.

  • Advanced Features: Master precision Cutters, metal weight reduction (Scoop/Hollow), weight calculation, and Gem Map specs for stone setters.

DAY 1 (MATRIXGOLD FOUNDATIONS & SPECIALTY RING BUILDERS)

  • Session 1 (Morning):

    • Parametric History Tree Logic (Master-Child Object Relationship)

    • Interface Setup, Hotkeys (F4, F5, F6), and Context Menu Operations

    • Dynamic Ring Builders: Ring Rail, Outside Ring Rail, Cathedral, Bypass, and Bangle Rail

    • Profile Management: Profile Placer, Profile Sweep, and Dynamic Outside Curve

  • Session 2 (Afternoon):

    • Specialized Ring Builders: Signet Ring, Signet Advanced, and Award Ring Builder

    • Parametric Deformers: Smart Flow (Auto Base), Smart Pattern, and Radial Cage Edit

DAY 2 (ADVANCED SETTING, CUTTERS & WEIGHT OPTIMIZATION)

  • Session 3 (Morning):

    • Advanced Gem Layouts: Gem Editor, Gem On Surface, Gem Between 2 Curves, and Tapered Baguettes

    • Heads & Prongs Builders: Head Builder, Prong Placer, Cluster Prong Placer, and Halo Builder

    • Fine Setting Techniques: Micro Pavé, Multi-Prong Edit, Add Prong, and Scallop Cutter

  • Session 4 (Afternoon):

    • Precision Cutter Tools: Gem Cutter, Channel Cutter, Micro Prong Cutter, and Cut To Ring Rail

    • Metal Weight Optimization & Features: Scoop, Hollow Ring, and Hinge Builder

    • Metal Weight Calculation, Gem Map / Tech Report Output, and Mesh Settings for CAM / 3D Printing

DAY 3 (TROUBLESHOOTING & HANDS-ON FINAL PROJECT)

  • Session 5 (Morning):

    • History Tree Troubleshooting: Preventing and fixing broken history links during gem/finger size changes

    • Pre-Boolean Diagnostics: Tolerances, Surface Continuity, and Mesh/NURBS Structures

  • Session 6 (Afternoon):

    • Final Project: Modeling a commercial jewelry piece (e.g., Multi-tier Award Ring or Cathedral Halo Engagement Ring)

    • 1-on-1 Mentorship and Workflow Optimization

    • Photorealistic Rendering for Client Presentation

    • Production Export: .3dm, Watertight .STL for CAM / 3D Printing, and Tech Specs Sheet
