The cornerstone of MatrixGold is its Parametric History Tree, enabling real-time adjustments to finger sizes, gemstone dimensions, or wall thicknesses without rebuilding models from scratch. Additionally, this course covers precision Cutters, Metal Weight Calculation, Gem Mapping, Photorealistic Rendering, and exporting production-ready .3dm and watertight .stl files for 3D Printing (RP) and CNC milling.

  • Session 1: Parametric Logic & Smart Rail Systems (Morning)

    • Transitioning your mindset to the Parametric History Tree (Master-Child Object Logic)

    • Optimizing UI, Hotkeys (F4, F5, F6), and Context Menus for maximum workflow efficiency

    • Automated shank construction with Dynamic Ring Rails: Ring Rail, Outside Ring Rail, Cathedral, Bypass, and Bangle Rails

    • Complete profile control using Profile Placer, Profile Sweep, and Dynamic Outside Curves

  • Session 2: Specialty Builders & Parametric Deformers (Afternoon)

    • High-spec shank modeling with Signet Ring Builder and Signet Advanced

    • Symbolic ring creation using Award Ring Builder (Text integration, Surrounding Bezels, and Starburst/Flutes effects)

DAY 2: Advanced Setting, Cutters & Weight Optimization

    • Advanced head & prong assemblies: Head Builder, Prong Placer, Cluster Prong Placer, and Halo Builder

    • Fine pave and channel work: Micro Pave, Multi Prong Edit, Add Prong, and Scallop Cutters

  • Session 4: Cutters, Production Details & File Diagnostics (Afternoon)

    • High-precision light-hole and seat creation: Gem Cutter, Channel Cutter, Micro Prong Cutter, and Cut To Ring Rail

    • Metal weight optimization & functional components: Scoop Tool (Metal Weight Reduction), Hollow Ring, and Hinge Builder

    • Checking Metal Weights, generating Gem Maps / Tech Reports for stone setters, and mesh setup for 3D Printing / CAM

DAY 3: Troubleshooting & Hands-On Final Project

  • Session 5: Logic Summary & Diagnostic Workshop (Morning – 2 Hours)

    • Logic Tree summary to prevent and repair broken history/files during real-time size or gem modifications

    • Key considerations for Tolerances, Surface Continuity, and Mesh/NURBS structures before Boolean operations

  • Session 6: Hands-On Final Project & Deliverables (Late Morning – Afternoon)

    • Final Project Execution: Build a complex commercial piece (e.g., Multi-tier Diamond Award Ring, Cathedral Halo Engagement Ring, or Parametric Resizable Design)
